Meet Blue Midnight.

Blue Midnight is a musical group that is sometimes a duo, sometimes a trio, but always fun to listen to.

Blue  Midnight's core sound is “Vintage Cosmic Americana.” Blue Midnight  interprets such unique artists as Gram Parsons, Kinky Friedman, Carl  Perkins, Michael Nesmith, Kris Kristofferson, and Gordon Lightfoot. Blue  Midnight also performs original songs in keeping with its Vintage  Cosmic Americana sound.

The  heart (or should that be hearts?) of Blue Midnight is the vocal  collaboration between Jim Bowers and Donna Carpino. In bringing their  voices together, Blue Midnight builds a warmth and intimacy with its  audiences that is like sitting around a living room listening to two  friends harmonizing.

Check out Blue Midnight's rendition of  Michael Nesmith's "Silver Moon".

And give a listen to our take on Kinky Friedman's "Wild  Man From Borneo".

Me

I still do an occasional solo show, just me and my guitar.  For me, it is as intimate as a performance can get.  My solo shows are unstructured, more spontaneous and freer. They usually don't have a defined set-list. I pretty much play whatever my little heart desires based upon how the audience is feeling and reacting. A lot of the songs

A lot of the songs are the same as I do with Blue Midnight, still Vintage Cosmic Americana. But I toss in some other artists such as John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, maybe a little Hank Williams and Merle Haggard, more of my originals, and even some pop from Neil Diamond or the Monkees.
